Marin Weiner started her passion for nutrition education at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT with Bright Bodies, a weight management program for children ages 7 to 16 years old, teaching exercise, behavior modification, and nutrition. During this time, Marin went back to school to receive her Master’s in Nutrition from University of Saint Joseph’s in West Hartford, CT. Marin then moved to Portland, Maine, where she coached women on wellness and healthy eating at Women to Women, was a nutrition counselor at local fitness facilities, and taught Pilates.
Marin received her Bachelors of Science in Family and Consumer Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. For a few years, Marin worked at Boston.com as a Content Producer. During her time in Boston, Marin developed an even bigger passion for exercise, so she received training to teach Pilates.
Marin has also spent some time working for the HealthierUS School Challenge in Maine, and Medi-Weightloss Clinics in CT. During her time at Medi-Weightloss Clinics, Marin managed the clinic, trained the staff in counseling and business procedures, and counseled adolescents and adults on nutrition, exercise, and behavioral change. Marin is currently a Nutrition Educator at Healthy Androscoggin, where she teaches children and adults healthy eating habits, physical activity, and nutritious cooking techniques.
Marin has teamed up with Dr. Rodney in their quest to help people get healthy and eat healthy. Her goal is to have people enjoy nutritious foods, get physically active, and develop an overall healthy lifestyle.
